The Shammed
The Shammed's set is taken from the dark depths of pure 1976 / 1977 Punk and covers Sex Pistols, The Damned, Sham 69, The Ramones, The Ruts, and Buzzcocks etc.
The band originally formed earlier in the year for a one off performance at the Wired jam night at the Lord Nelson in Broadstairs. It was formed as an antedote to the twenty minute 12 bar blues songs regularly performed at these kind of events! For that night the band was called 'New Wave Dave and The Doormen' and managed to squeeze five songs into seventeen minutes.
The line up consists of Drew Blood on vocals, Gaz Puke on lead guitar, Jamie Volatile on rhythm guitar, Andy Asbo on drums, and Spider Mcnasty on bass.
