New Apollo Halloween Double Bill

New Apollo presents their 6th Annual Halloween Horror Double Bill of plays.

The Withered Arm: "It looks almost like finger marks. My husband says it is as if some witch, or the devil himself, had taken hold of me there, and blasted the flesh."

Thomas Hardy's classic, supernatural West country tale. Farmer Lodge has a child with Rhoda Brook then abandons her and marries the beautiful, young Gertrude. Following a dream of conflict between the two women, Gertrude's arm begins to wither as if she has been cursed. Desperate, she searches for a cure, enlisting the help of a conjuror and a hangman, but will the price to pay be too high?

The Grange: "If she reveals her face from beneath her veil, death within the year is the doom of the ill-fated person who has seen it."

The dashing Lt Darent accepts a wager to stay at a haunted grange where the spirits of a hanged father and a murdered daughter are said to cause Madness and death. His fiancee, Bella and the priest, Father Carnicki accompany him but what will they discover and will the vengeance of the spirits be unleashed upon them?
