The Christopher Durston Memorial Lecture

Tonight John Morrill gives us a fascinating insight into Oliver Cromwell; a key figure in one of the most troubled periods of British history.

John is General Editor of an authoritative new edition of all Cromwell's recorded words and is writing a new biography based on this new edition. John has recently retired as Professor of British and Irish History at Cambridge University where he taught for 38 years. He is a prolific author of books and essays on early modern state formation, on puritans and radical religion and on Oliver Cromwell.
