Charley's War
Enjoy a lively and fascinating discussion about Charley's War, First World War revisionism and the role of war comics with Pat Mills. Perhaps the most influential figure in British comics in the last fifty years, Mills launched titles such as Battle (1975), 2000AD (1977) and the short-lived but highly controversial Action (1976). His best loved work, nevertheless, is Charley's War, which charts the experiences of sixteen year-old Charley Bourne who enlists shortly before the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
