Charley's War

Perhaps the most influential figure in British comics in the last fifty years, Mills launched titles such as Battle (1975), 2000AD (1977) and the short-lived but highly controversial Action (1976). His best loved work, nevertheless, is Charley's War, which charts the experiences of sixteen year-old Charley Bourne who enlists shortly before the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
