Walk On: From Richard Long To Janet Cardiff

This autumn Plymouth will stage the first touring exhibition to examine the many ways that artists since the 1960s have used the act of walking to inspire and influence their work. 'Walk On' opens on Saturday 20 September and is a multi-site exhibition displayed across four city centre sites: Peninsula Arts, Plymouth Arts Centre, Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and The Gallery at Plymouth College of Art.

It features work by nearly 40 different artists. Visitors will be able to see a variety of 2 and 3 dimensional pieces from video and sound to performance and photography. An exciting event programme filled with artist talks, guided walks, family activities and more is also on offer.
