Life Forces

Initially triggered by in Jane's father's old slide projector and his archive of images, Life Forces uses materials, objects and movement to explore light, change, place and home - the utopian impulse to build things together and to let them go. The piece offers a meditation on processes of transformation and loss as the life forces that link everything and everyone.

Life Forces is a duet performed by choreographer Jane Mason and writer Phil Smith, and created in collaboration with dramaturg David Williams, award-winning sculptor Sophia Clist and film-maker Magali Charrier.

Life Forces is funded by Arts Council England, commissioned by ICIA University of Bath and supported by Swindon Dance, The Place, Pavilion Dance South West, The Point, South East Dance, Exeter City Council, and Kaleider. Jane Mason and Phil Smith.

Venue: The House, Plymouth University
