In order to pull off a brilliantly conceived robbery at King's Cross Station, a motley crew of criminal misfits pose as amateur musicians needing rehearsal space and take rooms in the lopsided lodgings of the sweet, eccentric Miss Wilberforce.

But whilst the police are blissfully ignorant of the sophisticated heist being planned under their very noses, Miss Wilberforce - who has a history of
'noticing' suspicious goings-on in the neighbourhood - is not so easily deceived. So the gang's criminal mastermind, the disturbed (and disturbing) Professor Marcus, decides that Miss Wilberforce must face the music.

And he doesn't mean a string quartet...
