Bach's greatest sacred work performed by the world-class Dunedin Consort.
The St Matthew Passion has all the drama of an opera with two orchestras, six soloists, double choir and boy's choir. John Butt is now recognised as one of today's leading Bach conductors and the Dunedin Consort has just won its second Gramophone Award for its recording of the Mozart Requiem. In the perfect accoustics of St John's Kirk this is an evening to treasure.
