Helen and Douglas House are proud to announce Childish Things 9.

KT Tunstall
The BRIT awards winner of Best British Female Solo Artist of 2006 needs little introduction these days - the evidence of her success is unavoidable in Britain today. By her own testimony, her rather personal and reflective music is rooted in her adopted childhood; 'I grew up knowing I could have had a million different lives. It makes your life mysterious and your imagination go wild.' She's earned a solid reputation as a live performer and also pioneered the use of live sampling in chart music, which features significantly in her concerts with the use of a pedal she refers to as 'Wee B**tard'.

Stornoway
Stornoway began quietly one freshers' week at Oxford University, when lead singer and principal songwriter Brian Briggs approached Jon Ouin (keys/banjo/electric guitar/cello) and asked if he happened to like Teenage Fanclub. They began playing music together soon afterwards, in the dining hall of Wolfson College and immediately set to work on their own fledgling compositions.
Stonrnoway were the first unsigned band to ever to be booked for the Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival.

Barb Jungr
Best known for her re-creation of the magic of the Parisian cabaret scene in a contemporary setting with modern translations of Brel, Piaf, Ferr, Harburgh and Cole Porter. She has also set the songs of Bob Dylan and Nina Simone to new and beautifully crafted arrangements. In the UK and New York she plays to packed houses and was recently heralded in a feature about her work in the New York Times.

Bug Prentice
Bug Prentice is an avant-punk trio featuring Ally Craig (voice and guitar), Ruth Goller (bass and voice) and tonight James Maddren (drums). Ally's songwriting takes inspiration from such varied sources as classic Hollywood films, Deerhoof, amusing youtube videos, Kurt Vonnegut and honorary titles awarded by landlocked American states. Thanks to a computer error, they are one of the few bands to have been played backwards on the radio.

Rob Brydon
This Swansea-born radio and TV presenter got his big break in 2001 with a series of short comedy monologues, 'Marion And Geoff', which were shown on BBC2. This was followed by further TV appearances as Keith Barret, presenter of a spoof chat show and, perhaps most notably, Bryn West in the sitcom 'Gavin & Stacey'. His stand-up shows have been equally successful, with sold out shows around the UK during 2008.
