One of today's most sought-after soloists, Michael Collins conducts and performs with the City of London Sinfonia in a programme showcasing the "Best of British" string music.
Jazz pianist and Mercury Prize nominee Gwiym Simcock - known for his skilful merging of both jazz elements and orchestral music, creates an exciting fusion of styles in "On a Piece of Tapestry" for strings and solo clarinet, while Elgar's tender and poetic Serenade for Strings and Finzi's much-loved Clarinet Concerto combine with Britten's delightful Simole Symphony and Holst's much-loved "St Paul's Suite" to complete a magical evening.’
