Fordante

Award winning film composer Phil Mountford returns for another tour with his ensemble Fordante, this time featuring music from Strauss as well as the movies. The critically acclaimed ensemble (of piano, oboe, violin, viola, cello) perform a fabulous programme of music from the dance hall to the big screen, journeying through waltzes, polka, march, bolero and tango through to some of their own beautiful Venetian and Celtic inspired music along with some popular film soundtracks. The light, entertaining concert is suitable for anyone who loves beautiful, melodic music or who wants a gentle introduction to classical and film music presented in a light- hearted, entertaining show.
