When the celebrated opera diva Emilia Marty reveals the whereabouts of the lost will of Baron Jaroslav Prus, it seems as the long lasting squabbling over Prus' vast estate can finally be resolved. But as she reveals an uncanny knowledge of events long gone, it soon emerges that the enigmatic Marty has secrets of her own...
Richard Farnes conducts this new production of The Makropulos Case by acclaimed director Tom Cairns, with Swedish soprano Ylva Kihlberg in the key role of Emilia Marty.
