Em14: Arrivals

EM14: Arrivals is the culmination of a four-week residency. Eight graduates have been commissioned to produce new work, and will exhibit an eclectic mix of painting, multimedia installation and sculpture.

This year's Arrivals are Julia Kiely (Derby), Megan Lynch (Lincoln), Tina Mirsharifi (Derby), Ali Morgan-Tansley (Nottingham), Tony Moss (Nottingham), Christine Stevens (Trent), Alex Wallis (Loughborough), and Sarah Wilson (Loughborough). Ash, video, the playful use of latex, a fascination with porcelain and leather, and an exploration of motherhood using balloons and hosepipe: this year's exhibition promises a vibrant mix that both arouses the senses and stimulates the intellect.

"Openings and private views of art exhibitions", as the Nottingham Post wrote of last year's EM13, "should always spring a surprise or two". Our visitors did not leave disappointed, and we are sure that this year's new arrivals will provide some surprises of their own.
