Time Let Me Play

From the Poetry of Dylan Thomas. Music composed and performed by Keith James. A brave and haunting collection of Dylan’s most cherished and triumphant Poems, sensitively set into Songs. Where the very core of human spirit lives, with its beauty, fragility, anger, shame and humour, This tour forms part of the DT 100 celebration festival.

There will be around 30 concerts in all between August and November 2014. The defining sense of purpose and central essence of these concerts is to realise these words for every fibre of beauty that exists in them, allowing each word to embark on a new journey, almost a new beginning: that of lyrical prose in a song. Also included, will be a true sense of background and history to each poem, a chance to listen to a recording of Dylan himself reading his own prose, a beautifully produced and well documented programme to accompany the concert and an opportunity to hear a selection of Keith’s other Poetry settings from the writers he has been working with over the past few years. These include Pablo Neruda, Isabel Allende, Federico Garcia Lorca and Leonard Cohen.
