The Human Voice and La Voix Humaine

Maddermarket Theatre and The Hostry Festival Presents

A Double Bill of Cocteau and Poulenc

Jean Cocteau's The Human Voice, starring Susan Seddon, directed by Adrian Drew, and Francis Poulenc's opera La Voix Humaine, starring Lisa Cassidy, accompanied by William Fergusson.

The simple conceit of a woman's call to her partner, on the night before a life changing event, is the perfect platform for the compelling exploration of human frailty. Totally arresting and not to be missed, this is your chance to see the story portrayed in the intimate surroundings of the studio space at the Maddermarket Theatre.

Running time 80 minutes approximately.

(Please note - The matinee performance of The Human Voice only, will be on Wednesday 21st January at 1.10pm - all other performances are the double-bill presentation as described above)
