Moulton Drama Group

God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, is a wonderful contemporary play which was a winner of both the Tony and Olivier awards in 2009. It has only just been licensed for amateur productions and MDG is one of the first amateur groups to stage it.

The play is a comedy drama that revolves around two couples who meet one evening to discuss an incident of bullying that has been committed by the child of one set of parents against the offspring of the other.

Despite the initial intention to have a civilised discussion over drinks, the adults' behaviour becomes increasingly childish and the evening descends into chaos....
