All female Japanese legends, Shonen Knife, return to the UK in April / May 2014 with their 20th album, Overdrive, released on April 14th.

Formed in Osaka 33 years ago, the trio rose from humble DIY beginnings to the heights of touring with Nirvana on their ‘Nevermind’ tour, trailblazing a path for women in music and inspiring legions of bands.

Favourites of Kurt Cobain, John Peel and Thurston Moore, Shonen Knife remain the most influential and beloved of Japanese rock exports.

Live, they are a tight rock machine punching out fast, highly exciting sets of punk, pop, rock and metal hits, each song coated with their distinctively life-affirming quirky magic.
