Petr worked in advertising and then went on to study Fine Art before receiving a Masters in Fine Art and moving to England. Petr’s first books, Strawberries are Red and What Is Black, What Is White were published in 2001 and since then his books have won numerous international awards including Picture Book of the Year (Holland), Parenting Book of the Year (USA) and being short-listed for the Kate Greenaway Medal 2012.
