Generator are pleased to be providing an essential masterclass for anyone looking to set up a music or creative-based business in the North East. Setting up any business is a very exciting yet daunting time so this workshop will give you a good overview of why you should go into business, what you need to do to get things rolling and how to grow.

The day will be broken down into 4 areas:

THINKING – why go self-employed, what makes a great entrepreneur, what does a business person do all day?
STARTING – different types of self-employment, where to get help, business plan versus business canvas
IMPROVING – how to keep customers happy, innovation, sales and marketing, digital marketing
GROWING – how scalable is your business, types of funding, keeping your business lean and mean!

Throughout the day you will get the chance to distil your business ideas down into a Creative Business Canvas, instead of a long, boring business plan!
