The Snowman

Carrot Productions and Derbyshire Music Hub are delighted to present a family-friendly Christmas concert featuring The Snowman film accompanied by a live, 25 piece professional orchestra. The much-loved animated film will be projected onto a large screen, with the orchestra playing Howard Blake's enchanting score, and a a child soloist singing the evocative "Walking in the Air".

There will also be other Christmas crackers in this hour long festive treat, including selections from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, surely the most Christmassy of all pieces. Also, a seasonal "Guide to the Orchestra" - a light hearted look at some of the more unusual instruments of the orchestra, featuring some of the UK's top musicians!
