The Laramie Project

As part of LGBT History Week & in support of Albert Kennedy Trust, The Big Red Box Theatre Company presents

The Laramie Project

In October 1998, a student at the University of Wyoming named Matthew Shepherd was tied to a fence and severely beaten. He died of his wounds six days later. In November 1998, Moisés Kaufmann and members of The Tectonic Theatre Project went to Wyoming to find out why.

This is a fantastic verbatim piece of theatre chronicling the aftermath of a tragic crime, showing how it affected the towns-people of Laramie Wyoming and the wider issue of civil rights in America.
