Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band founder... singer and writer of "The Urban Spaceman"... Monty Python songwriter and sketchwriter... inventor of The Rutles, creator of 'The Innes Book Of Records'...
Neil Innes is one of the great innovative figures UK music and comedy have produced over the last 50 years.
His major contributions to the Monty Python canon in the 1970s were followed by his formation of the group Grimms along with contemporaries Adrian Henri and Roger McGough, and subsequently by several stints on children's television, including contributions to "Tiswas" and "Puddle Lane". A film about Innes called "The Seventh Python" premiered in June 2008, and recently he has embarked on shows with The IdiotB*stard Band, with collaborators including Phill Jupitus and Paul Whitehouse.
Neil brings his unique one man show to Words And Music for a Sunday afternoon show at The Crown Ballroom.
