Rent is a powerful, emotional, compelling rock operetta based on the opera La Boheme.

It centres on the relationship between two artists struggling to earn a living (as in the opera) and sustain the lifestyle of modern bohemia. We encounter their friendships and relationships as they experience love and loss. We see them battle against the corporate world trying to change their neighbourhood and the way they live.

The musical explores some hard hitting issues including Aids and Drugs but its main focus is the importance of community. Because of this I would love to work with a diverse cast which will reflect a true community in terms of all ages and experience. The music is stunning and the narrative is emotionally charged.

Ultimately the show is a celebration of living in the moment and making every moment count.
