Live & Local @ The Glebe are delighted to present Leo Turner and Carlos Munoz Villalobos in concert
Chilean-born Carlos performed for over twenty years with South American music maestros Caliche. Carlos has now teamed up with the wonderful classical guitarist, Leo Turner. Leo has many years of performing experience in Classical, Spanish, Jazz and Popular repertoire.
The two musicians combine in an intimate and friendly concert breathing fresh life into the beautiful and very varied melodies of South America. You'll hear solo guitar pieces, guitar duos, pieces for quena (traditional South American flute), ocarina, cajon, charango (Andean lute) and not forgetting pan pipes.
The music reflects the breathtaking scenery and lively cultural differences found all over South America - from an Andean morning sunrise to an energetic wedding dance from Mexico.
