Lynne Hanson, The August List

Americana, roots music, rough-around-the-edges folk. Canadian singer-songwriter Lynne Hanson prefers "porch music with a little red dirt". Hanson songs are like a favourite pair of jeans. They're rough around the edges, faded and worn through in spots, with a bit of honestly-acquired dirt ground into the seams. And they're expressed in a rich voice coupled with accomplished guitar playing that demands repeated listening.

Originally from Dorset but now residing in a small barn perched on a hill in Oxfordshire, Thame-based couple Kerraleigh and Martin Child comprise The August List; a boy/girl two-piece who play 'backwards country/porch folk' with a startling rock 'n' roll attitude.

Both artists will be performing songs from their newly released albums.
