Teechers by John Godber
From the pen of one of Britain's most popular writers, John Godber, "Teechers" is a fast moving very funny comedy. It's the last day of term and the final day at school for a bunch of fifth formers, who, on the surface, are delighted to be free at last - but they have mixed feelings because a new teacher, Mr Nixon, has inspired in them a love of drama. They decide to put on a play in his honour and the cast of three show the highs and lows of a whole year at the school from the student's point of view - the Christmas Dance, the tennis tournament, a production of "The Mikado" - and how to survive in a school nicknamed "Colditz".
