Dark Clouds Are Smouldering Into Red

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, Sinfonia Viva in association with the Tom Dale Company, Orchestras Live, Nottinghamshire Music Hub and Mansfield Palace Theatre is proud to present Dark Clouds are Smouldering into Red - an emotive exploration of separation, loss and social upheaval, told through music and dance.

Based around a new commission created by composer James Redwood and choreographer Tom Dale, the story of John and Maria, a young couple torn apart by conflict, will be evocatively portrayed by over 100 performers from local schools, accompanied by a professional orchestra, Sinfonia Viva, and dancers.
