1930’s America; the depression is biting hard and jobs are harder to come by – in a dog eat dog society its every man for himself.
Lennie and George are two migrant farm hands moving from ranch to ranch, sewn together by that rarity called friendship, the two hold fierce the American Dream in their hearts – a piece of land to call their own.
Running from an incident in Weed, the two friends find themselves working with Slim, Carlson, Whit, Candy and Crooks on Curley’s father’s farm. Curley takes an instant dislike to the larger Lennie and tensions mount when his flirtatious wife catches Lennie’s simple eye. Despite George and Candy’s best efforts to keep the dream alive, Lennie’s innocence, in this harsh world, will be the undoing of them all.
