Collection Bites: Art From Papua

Trainee Curator Kiera Gould will talk about the Museum’s significant collections from New Guinea. She will look particularly at objects acquired in the 1970s as part of a project which aimed to promote traditional carving from Papua, separating objects from their previous associations with cannibalism head-hunting to promote their artistic quality and value for European museum collections.
