Me, As A Penguin
An endearing comedy about a young man, knitting, penguins and Battenburg Cake.
Stitch, an avid knitter is continually clicking away in woollen creativity, he has moved from a small seaside town escaping the binds of the wool shop where he is famed for his knit one purl one experimental cardigans for the local pensioners.
He has come to stay with his heavily-pregnant sister Liz and her shabby sofa-loving partner Mark in Hull to find his true self and dip his toe into the city's gay scene.
Then an orchestrated chance meeting at the local Aquarium sends a normal evening into a scene not amiss from the Frozen Planet.
Why won't Stitch let his sister desperate for a pee into the bathroom? and who is the man in a giant penguin costume?
The play is packed with nimble, dry northern wit, that will keep the audience captivated and on the edge of their seat till the very end.
