Crazy Arm
Pitched somewhere between the dark twang of 16 Horsepower, the punk thrust of Fugazi and Hot Water Music, the crunchy pop of Ted Leo and the protest songs of Dick Gaughan, the band have developed a distinctly progressive and aggressive style, shot through with a healthy dose of grass-roots politics. They rely chiefly on folk/country open tunings and slide guitars to evoke moods that are at odds with the punk orthodoxy.

Calvinball is a bad idea made worse by dumb persistence. Since coming into existence in Sheffield in late 2005, the band has been hemorrhaging money travelling Great Britain, Europe and the USA in search of truth, freedom and free alcoholic drinks.
