Common Wealth

The international theatre exchange culminates in four days of shows, workshops and events and is regularly cited as life-changing by the young people involved. For 2014, young artists from Manchester, Corby and Livingston are paired with theatre companies from Iran, Jamaica and India, each creating a new piece of theatre inspired by their ‘twin’ company.

Based on interviews with Muslim Female Boxers and made in collaboration with four 16-19 year olds, 'Us Champions' explores being young, fearless and doing the unexpected. Come along to a work in progress script read-through and contribute your thoughts in a discussion after.
