The Way Back Home

The Way Back Home traces the journey of a boy who, on discovering an aeroplane in his cupboard, flies off towards the stars and crash lands on the moon.

Created by Katie Mitchell and Vicki Mortimer, the pair behind the hit stage adaptation of Dr Seuss's The Cat in the Hat, this captivating new show is the perfect family treat this Christmas. Joanna Lee's mesmerising music is performed by players from ENO's orchestra and features found instruments such as ping pong balls and pots and pans, alongside strings and woodwind.

With a witty libretto from the award-winning playwright Rory Mullarkey, and a running time of just 50 minutes, The Way Back Home is the ideal introduction to the magical world of opera.
