Although cancer and cancer treatment can weaken the immune system, a small number of researchers have long thought that the immune system might also be a powerful tool for treating cancer. Confirming their beliefs, recent clinical results have shown that immunotherapy can be remarkably beneficial against skin and lung cancer. Immunobiologist Adrian Hayday will be in conversation about this and about his latest research on a novel form of immune response in this new era of cancer therapies.
