Closer: City Of London Sinfonia, Katona Twins Guitar Duo, Michael Collins

CLoSer, our informal concert series returns with a distinctly American flavour. With music from adopted American, Igor Stravinsky, who composed his Concerto in D while living in Hollywood, the jazz inspired Clarinet Concerto from the "Dean of American Composers" Aaron Copland and the rhythmic Hommage à Liège, a concerto unusually set for guitar, bandoneón and strings by the greatest of Tango composers Argentine Astor Piazzolla. Featuring Guest Artists the Katona Twins, as well as clarinettist/conductor Michael Collins, this promises to be a typically high energy, high octane performance.
