London African Music Festival: With Sticks And Things
With Sticks And Things present Vula Viel and their complex and uplifting Ghanaian ritual music fusion sound as a part of London African Music Festival 2014.
With Sticks and Things is the name of the collaborative project by Rebecca Katsaris (DJ KATSARIS) and Dave De Rose which allows them to continue their quest to present unannounced musical wonders for the exclusive taste and joy of highbrow music lovers. For this African Music Festival special, they will be delivering some of the most obscure audio palates that the red earth continent has to offer, with a fully scheduled line-up of sonic treats, committed to the mostly unheard sounds of African music. Starting with a documentary screening at 8pm, the night follows with a truly unique live performance by Vula Viel (full band) and their complex and uplifting Ghanaian ritual music fusion sound, alongside mesmerising and groove-infused DJ sets from Katsaris and De Rose, and some crafty guest slots.
