The London Short Play Festival: The Midnight Salesmen / Shrink To Fit / Casting The Villain Aside

Untouched Theatre presents The Midnight Salesmen, a short farcical comedy about three inept burglars and their midnight escapades. Written by Victoria Jane Appleton.

Shrink To Fit by Rachel Osborne offers a glimpse at how we are coping (or not) with modern life. A day in the life of our psychiatrist, Helena, tells the story of a group of people with different problems, trying to make sense of what is happening to them. But it is also a reminder that it's not just patients who struggle...

Casting The Villain Aside by Anna-Lisa Maree, is about Linda Godfrey who has enjoyed fame, fortune and natural beauty, and now in 2014, even her long suffering daughter Cassie can no longer distinguish where the formidable persona of the Wicked Queen ends and her own mother begins!

The London Short Play Festival aims to give new and upcoming playwrights the opportunity to showcase work on a London stage. The Festival will this year debut three playwrights and three plays never before seen in the hope of becoming a platform and stepping stone for them into the London theatre scene.

The Festival was founded by producers Maria Klockare and Millie Thorne. Both producers worked on two different short play festivals in New York City and after seeing the work being made there, they felt that this is something the London stage is missing.
