Renato D'Aiello, Andy Davies Quintet

The first meeting of two band leaders who host weekly nights in the upstairs bar at Ronnie Scott’s – passionate saxophonist Renato D’Aiello who runs ‘Acoustic Jazz Lounge’ every Monday and firebrand trumpeter Andy Davies who leads the Ronnie’s ‘Jazz Jam on Wednesdays.

Both share a love of hard bop and straight-ahead acoustic jazz in its most vibrant form, as inspired by the likes of Sonny Rollins, Kenny Dorham and Lee Morgan. For this concert the quintet will be celebrating the music of soul-jazz pioneer Horace Silver.
