The Social Christmas Market

The Social’s famous annual Christmas Market returns this year with stalls, readings, music, talks and drinking hosted by Caught By The River, The Idler, Faber Social and Folklore Tapes.

On Saturdays 6th, 13th and 20th December 2014 The Social on Little Portland Street will throw open its doors at midday for an afternoon of food, drink and Christmas shopping in the upstairs bar. They’ll be stalls filled with amazing books, maps, badges, records, limited edition screen prints, tshirts, fine wine and lots of other Christmas gifts, and things you’ll just want to buy for yourself!

In the basement they’ll be talks and readings from special guests invited by Faber and Caught By The River, short classes, workshops and music from The Idler and a very special arcane folkloric Christmas audio & projection show from Folklore Tapes on the final Saturday!

Other stalls from Heavenly, Borough Wines, Andrews and The Empress of Arcadia, For The Record, Matt Sewell and more.

The doors will be open between 12pm and 5.30pm, entry is free and with a fully stocked bar including a selection of ales, our homemade mulled wine, hot cider, bloody marys, hearty food, impromptu DJ sets and outbreaks of festivity - a very warm welcome is once again guaranteed.
