Anthony Joshua MBE has been forced out of his fight with Kevin Johnson at The O2 on January 31 after aggravating a back injury. The O2 show goes ahead without Joshua, with four big championship bouts as Kevin Mitchell edges closer to a World title clash in a final eliminator with Daniel Estrada, Islington Middleweight John Ryder defends his WBO Inter-Continental Middleweight title against experienced Australian Les Sherrington and a pair of tasty Light Welterweight battles as Ricky Boylan takes on Tommy Martin for the vacant English title and John Wayne Hibbert defends his WBC International title against Tyler Goodjohn. Team GB star Charlie Edwards makes his professional debut, as does Cruiserweight Isaac Chamberlain, and Ohara Davies, Ben Hall and Lee Markham all taste their first action of 2015.

“It's disappointing to lose Anthony from this great card but after receiving news from the scan, he was left with no option but to rest his back,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “He picked up a niggle in the Sprott camp and had a good month rest after but it hasn't been 100 per cent in camp and the results gave him no option. He hopes to resume punching in early February and come back with a bang in Newcastle on April 4.”
