Whichever side of the camp you were on, UK or US there was no denying that the English Folk scene of the time was a rich and thriving place. With the likes of Martin Carthy, Paul Simon and Ewan MacColl rivalling the Greenwich beat scene of the US, with a truly British sound, something that has inspired and engaged Dylan throughout his career.
