Unity - A Concert for Stephen Lawrence: Emeli Sandé + Rizzle Kicks + Labrinth + Plan B + Jamie Cullum + Jessie J + Tinie Tempah + Rudimental + Ed Sheeran + Soul II Soul + Rita Ora + Beverley Knight
20 years after the tragic murder of teenager Stephen Lawrence, music's biggest names unite for a special concert championing youth and social empowerment. The concert is to raise funds for The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, which helps to develop brighter futures for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This event sees UK artists and the music industry working together to create a one-off concert and raise awareness and money for the Stephen Lawrence Trust, further providing opportunities for those disadvantaged by their colour, their postcode, their ethnicity or their poverty – across the UK. All the artists will perform tracks specially chosen for their social message.
Through the work of Stephen's mother, Doreen Lawrence and the Stephen Lawrence Trust, Britain is changing but there is still much more to be done. The SL20 campaign, set up by the Trust to mark this important anniversary, aims to highlight Stephen’s legacy and the vital work undertaken by the charity in his name. This concert will play a pivotal role in the SL20 initiative.
Unity – A Concert for Stephen Lawrence is supported by Mayor of London Boris Johnson as well as Lewisham and Greenwich Council.
A soul singer, songwriter, and pianist from Aberdeen whose treacle on gravel voice has made her hotly sought after as a collaborator by such artists as Chipmunk and Wiley. Smart, sussed, talented, entrepreneurial, shiningly engaging in the flesh, utterly transfixing on stage and unforgettable in her words and melodies, Emeli Sande is the epitome of the brilliant modern artist.
Emeli Sandé tour dates
Harley Alexander-Sule and Jordan Stephens are two of the most exciting young talents to emerge in 2011. Their debut single 'Down With The Trumpets' sold over 250,000 copies and hung around in the Top 10 for a month, and the duo have already been nominated for 3 MOBO Awards. Their debut album is a mixture of pop and hip hop incorporating the fun elements of the old school hip-hop era circa 1988-92.

Since featuring on, and producing, Tinie Tempah's 'Pass Out' and 'Frisky', the singing, songwriting and producing phenomenon Labrinth has rapidly become one of the most significant emerging artists of the past 18 months. Originally from Hackney, east London, Labrinth is the youngest of nine musically gifted siblings. He discovered his talent for music by going to the local studio whilst still at school. Making beats at the age of 13 and playing guitar and keyboards by 15, Labrinth is completely self-taught.

Plan B (Ben Drew) singer-songwriter, rapper, actor and film director came to prominence with the 2006 release of the critically acclaimed hip hop album 'Who Needs Actions When You Got Words'. The East Londoner can spit rhymes and hold his own against any MC or rapper, but can then suddenly switch into a delicate, sweet white soul croon that would shame any boyband member. He accompanies himself on an acoustic guitar, playing in a curiously folksy, fingerpicking style. But the killer punch is the lyrics - bleak, cinematic, X-rated urban poetry laced with a mordant wit and a strong dose of pathos.

This young jazz-influenced pianist and vocalist from the West Country is a favourite of Radio 2 listeners and record company accountants. He has been likened, apparently, to Harry Connick Jnr and has even been described as 'Sinatra in sneakers'. True fans of Ol' Blue Eyes will no doubt have their own views...
Jamie Cullum tour dates
Making an earth shattering entrance, this girl is set to leave her trailblazing mark on the world. The Essex-born songwriter has penned tunes for the likes of Alicia Keyes, toured with Chris Brown and notably wrote Miley Cyrus's Number One billboard smash 'Party In The USA!' While her multi-octave voice and self-made attitude has earned Jessie J the respect of music's glitterati; from Kylie to Justin Timberlake commenting 'Who is the best singer? Jessie J!', to Cyndi Lauper pulling her on stage at Shepherds Bush to sing her legendary anthem 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' alongside her.

Tinie Tempah originated from South London, gaining notoriety in 2006 with his underground debut single 'Wifey'. Later, Tinie Tempah (real name Patrick Junior C. Okongwu) would come to top the UK charts in 2010 with 'Pass Out', a song 'about getting so out of it that you pass out'. In less than six months Tinie Tempah has gone from underground buzz artist to bona fide pop phenomenon.

British-Albanian mezzo-soprano r'n'b queen Rita Ora has been around for a while, but came to full prominence in 2012 when she provided the vocals for DJ Fresh's 'Hot Right Now', which topped the UK singles chart in February. Rita followed this smashing into the charts with her own No.1 singles 'R.I.P' and 'How We Do (Party)', making her the only artist to have three No.1 singles in a row in 2012. The release of her debut album 'ORA' rounded off her incredible run also claiming the No.1 spot. 2012 saw her become one of the most exciting new artists to break through.

An awesome voice from this three times MOBO award winner. She's been notching up the hits ever since her classic song 'Flavour Of The Old School' (1995) with more than ten of her songs reaching the Top 40. Her longevity is partly due to her innate talent, but it is also due to her impressive ability to reinvent herself.
