The Spirit of London Awards: Labrinth + Diversity + Maverick Sabre + Chase & Status (Live) + Stooshe + Angel + Noisettes + ACM Gospel Choir + McFly
Now in its 4th Year, the prestigious Spirit of London Awards (SOLA) takes place on the 10th December at The O2. The awards were launched by the Damilola Taylor Trust in 2009 as a legacy project to Damilola and all the other young people lost to youth violence on streets of London through the Years.
The aim of SOLA is to demonstrate to young people just how much their positive endeavours matter and how much they are valued. Looking to emulate the great celebrity awards events like BRITS and MOBOS with the only difference being that it is the young unsung heroes of London that become the celebrities for this event!

Labrinth
Since featuring on, and producing, Tinie Tempah's 'Pass Out' and 'Frisky', the singing, songwriting and producing phenomenon Labrinth has rapidly become one of the most significant emerging artists of the past 18 months. Originally from Hackney, east London, Labrinth is the youngest of nine musically gifted siblings. He discovered his talent for music by going to the local studio whilst still at school. Making beats at the age of 13 and playing guitar and keyboards by 15, Labrinth is completely self-taught.

Chase & Status (Live)
Chase (Will) & Status (Saul) have been hailed as 'the most exciting producers in the UK today'. They met at Manchester University through their mutual love of drum and bass in the mid nineties and have DJ'd ever since. Their frenetic formula of raging riffs and high octane breakdowns earned their acclaimed album 'No More Idols' double platinum status, whilst their baffling, on-the-fly manipulation of dirty, ferocious beats has attracted a devoted global fan base, who live and breathe that tumultuous bass driven sound.

Stooshe
Salt-n-Pepa for 2012? Karis, Courtney and Alex offer an infectiously catchy, very sweary and distinctly British brand of urban pop. An 'X-rated En Vogue" said The Guardian!

Angel
A truly gifted multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, 25 year old Angel aka Sirach Charles has quickly evolved into the R&B/Pop Renaissance man of the moment. Having previously wrote hits for the likes of Pixie Lott, Jason Derulo and Roll Deep, 2012 has seen Angel rise from underground producer to releasing one of the biggest selling tracks of the year with top-10 summer anthem ‘Wonderful’ and receive two nominations for the 2012 MOBO Awards (Best Newcomer and Best R&B/Soul Act). Now, with a rising online presence (on YouTube alone his views exceed 13 million) Angel continues to gather an impressive list of fans in everyone from Tinie Tempah and Ed Sheeran through to Rio Ferdinand and Cheryl Cole, all having earmarked Angel as their favourite artist of the moment.

Noisettes
Unconventional London duo Dan Smith and Shingai Shoniwa have had a career stretching over seven years, with their fizzy, witty mixture of all kinds of pop, given their own exotic twist, bringing them well known chart smashes like 'Never Forget You' and 'Don't Upset the Rhythm'. Renowned for their enthralling live performances and style, their energy is reminiscent of the true, legendary artists of the past, leading to them being described "the best live band in Britain" by The Guardian. Shoniwa can often be seen charging in to the audience playing guitar and singing clinging to a ladder suspended from the ceiling, a nod to the circus skills she learnt in her teens.

BRIT Award-winning punk popsters McFly - who take their name from the 'Back To The Future' films - are Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd. Tom lost out to best buddy Charlie in the Busted audition - but they are obviously still friends; McFly supported Busted on their 2004 tour and have been unstoppable ever since.
