Barclays ATP Tour Finals
At the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals there's no place to hide as the top eight tennis players in the world go head-to-head in one-on-one gladiatorial battles in their purest form. The qualification equation is exceedingly simple but brutally tough. Finish the season in the Top 8 and you're in. Then, survive the gruelling round-robin phase and take your place in the cut-throat semifinals and final. And the rewards are high: as well as the prize money, the winner takes one of the most prestigious titles in tennis!
The top six players have now guaranteed their places in this year's tournament. In clinching his seventh Wimbledon title, the new World No. 1 Roger Federer has secured a spot at the season-ending showdown. Federer will be looking to win his seventh Barclays ATP World Tour Finals title in his eleventh consecutive appearance at the year-end championships. Following his quarter-final win at the US Open, Olympic gold medalist Andy Murray has also guaranteed his place among the world's top eight players. Joining them are Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer and Tomas Berdych, leaving just two singles berths up for grabs.
Featuring a unique round-robin format, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals will see all players playing a minimum of three matches each as they battle for a berth in the knockout semi-finals and beyond. With the quality of each match akin to that of a Grand Slam quarterfinal or better, this is one sporting spectacle you can't afford to miss!
