Never miss another 'This Is The Kit' show
This Is The Kit
This is the Kit is the musical project of Kate Stables (from Winchester, England) who sings and plays banjo and guitar, sometimes solo and other times plays with a bunch of musicians - often with longtime collaborator Jesse D Vernon on violin and percussion. his Is The Kit have toured in the UK, Japan and Europe. They appear in many guises: solo, duo, psychedelic rock-formation, 4-4-2, unplugged acoustic gigs, choir workshops, homeshows, busking etc. If you thought you didn’t like the banjo, This Is The Kit will prove you wrong as Kate rips forward with a hypnotic twang pattern and a voice of rare beauty, accompanied by a backing band of minimal psychedelia. TITK has released two albums and a handful of singles since 2006.

Sweet Baboo
A native of the North Wales countryside, Sweet Baboo aka Stephen Black is a single minded, idiosyncratic singer possessing an ear for sparkling melody and a gift for a deft lyrical turn – from darkly funny to piercingly tender, twinkling boastful to deliciously self-deprecating.
Having already been shortlisted for the Welsh Music Prize in 2011 for his third album ‘I’m A Dancer/Songs About Sleeping’, Black’s evolution as a songwriter and musician is still very much in motion with the new Album ‘Ships’, a concept album about the sea - and a marked step up from his earlier material that reveals his true talent is only beginning to be revealed.
Influenced by the likes of The Beach Boys, Daniel Johnston and Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci, Black indulges his love of brass heavy pop on ‘Ships’ which is released in April 2013 on Moshi Moshi Records.
