Julius Caesar

Cry 'Havoc', and let slip the dogs of war!

Shakespeare's political dramatisation of Julius Caesar's gruesome assassination, instigated by his closest friends, comes to the The CLF Art Cafe this October.

This production will pare the story back to its essence focusing on its universal and timeless themes such as love, honour and betrayal.

Directed by up and coming director Samuel Wood.

"With this production we'll aim to create a nihilistic world and a true sense of claustrophobic evil, where one feels like the players confidant, eavesdropping on terrible secrets. A production that will see audiences departing into the night with raised hairs on the back of their neck," says Wood.

"Samuel Wood's production of Earnest is a triumph" - **** The Stage on The Importance of Being Earnest

"a lovingly presented piece, engaging and beguiling from the beginning to the surprise ending" - **** What's on Stage on Witness for the Prosecution
