Re:sound

The Bunker is an extraordinarily atmospheric, perfectly preserved, multi-chambered WWII air-raid shelter in the middle of Dalston. We have put together a programme of music that will make every inch of this incredible, resonant space sing, including all-too-rarely performed works by the two giants of late 20th Century American music, John Cage and James Tenney.

It was in the thought of these two men that so many of the concepts, ideas and approaches to be found in today’s music were born, such as the central concept of this event: the notion of the listener assuming an active, performative role, of taking charge of his own individual narrative.
