The Kieron Garrett Quartet was formed in 2009 and it wasn't long before the brilliant, international star Dave O'Higgins, was drafted in on saxophone. The band's debut album of original material, "It's Time", written by the band's founder Kieron Garrett, was subsequently recorded and released in 2011 which helped forge a path for the next few years.

Since then, the band has played at many of the most prestigious and famous jazz clubs in the country and a second album of original material, this time co-written by Garrett and the bass player Mike Pratt, has been written and is on target for record and release early next year.

The band has evolved slightly over the last two years, into a slicker, tighter unit and the live set now includes some highly arranged jazz funk/fusion classics from the likes of Weather Report, Chick Corea, The Brecker Brothers, Bill Evans etc as well as the original music written specifically for the quartet.
