Doctoral Open Day: Art And Design
The British Library has fantastic resources for art and design research. The Library has a wide range of unique or rare visual materials, such as artists’ books, prints, drawings, and photographs, as well as beautiful collections of bindings and decorated papers. The collections include a vast array of books and journals on art history, photography and design, databases such as the Vogue archive, and the Artists’ Lives collection of oral history interviews.
Doctoral Open Days are a chance for new PhD students to discover the British Library’s unique research materials. At this free event you will learn about our Social Sciences collections, find out how to access them, and meet expert staff and other researchers in your field.
The events are solely for first year PhD students who are new to the Library.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Please only book on a single event.
