Musical Pearls From The 18th Century

Hackney based Soprano Emma Dogliani presents a family friendly concert with four other well known musicians: Stuart Wild, harpsichord; Kwesi Edman, cello; Kate Conway, violin and Nicolas Ridley, oboe – in a selection of 18th century pearls.

Discover more about the riches of the Baroque; exuberant, ornate, whimsical and mesmerising, established in Italy and reaching its zenith in the music of Bach and Handel.

The concert includes pieces by Telemann, La Folia variations by Corelli, an extract from Orlando Finto Pazzo by Vivaldi and Handel cantatas from the recently released CD “Un Sospir”.

Hackney Proms are relaxed, informal Sunday morning concerts, with coffee and croissants on sale.
